New Motley Flower!

Blaq Lyte founder Motley Flower is dropping a new EP today called PUBPID WITTHAYU ON WIRELESS ROAD. This time around, his eyes are set firmly on the dancefloor. We’re taken late into the night with forays into deep house, light industrial and dark electro touches, and skittery garage influences—all courtesy of his regular production partner Bossa, who’s adopted the dance music alias Pubpid Witthayu. Motley’s lyrics are paired back, focused on a mood and a groove, sticking to simple anthems asking the ladies what they want, and telling them what he’s interested in. As a longtime club owner, nightlife has played a large role in his life for many years, and those dancefloor vibes have now seeped deep into his music. It’s available on all streaming platforms now!

“This project was inspired during late nights running the clubs,” Motley explains. “We wanted a sound that fit better for the environment we were living in. These tracks really have a distinctive identity, they’re almost like an emotional, bipolar roller coaster.”

The EP features a guest spot from Korean artist JEY, who recently threw a party at our home base Rover. It’s is a follow-up to Motley Flower’s debut album MAGNOLIA and is being released through Blaq Lyte Digital as part of SpicyDisc. Be on the look out soon for remixes by top-tier artists from around the world.
